LOOKING FOR REASONS
Looking for reasons
Me, you and she
Fighting for justice
And taking the knee
A paradise lost
Now under the sea
An invisible pandemic
Cries out a stupid “Yippee”
It kills mostly the poor
Than it does the bourgeoisie
Mostly the poor
Who will never be free
Anything goes
When powers agree
To turn a blind eye
At the death of some tree
They count all their assets
And never foresee
That wiping out forests
Is a death wish destiny
Looking for reasons
Has no guarantee
Believe me, I’ve tried it
To the nth degree
All I know for certain
That there’s no point to flee
From a planet pronounced dead
Come the death of the last bee
Talking of bees, I’ve got a song from my first album, ‘Dream Rescuer’ called ‘Sunlight & The Dust’. It’s all about the direction we’re heading in, and bees play a part in the lyric. If you want to download the album you’ll find it available via BANDCAMP or, at AMAZON when searching ‘Zoolon Audio Albums’. I hope you enjoy.

I don’t know how you write these words , George but omg they are brilliant. It’s fantastic .magnificent fabulous.. your mind is brilliant. I have to read this again.

Thanks Yasmin. I think the Zoolon in me is more comfortable writing lyrical verse about protest than anything else. I beat the spellcheck 6 times before it recognised ‘bourgeoisie’. I don’t major in spelling. Thanks again ~ George

I like that word ‘ bourgeoisie’ rolls off the tongue like a Renaissance thingy

A ‘thingy’ – that’s a word my dad uses 100 times a day.

Thanks. Since this lockdown – it’s virus central where I live – I’ve got the words and the music but can’t seem to put the pair together the way I’d like it to be. I’ll be glad when this thing is over. Thanks again ~ George

Kinda sad. However, I believe that one day we will all perish but the Earth will still be here. Alive. Not dead.

Thanks again. I think you’re dead right. I read somewhere that ferns will be the last things left on earth before earth gets shrunk down into a black hole. Thinking about it there has to be a song somewhere there? Thanks once again ~ George

Now, I wonder if there will be a cockroach or two in that fern. Lol!
